In 2013 Feye de Zwart and Guido Benschop founded Dutch Drone Company (DDC) as they saw the potential of widespread utilisation of drones in the industry. Since then the company has been involved in many innovative pilots and assignments creating many 'firsts'. Headquartered in Rotterdam the company has been growing rapidly and involved in many projects around the world.
The founders always realized that flying drones in airspace comes with enormous responsibility and proper risk assessments. From the beginning DDC has been actively involved in discussions on National and European regulation for UAV usage and was one of the founders of Dutch Association of Certified RPAS Operators (DCRO).
Today the effective use of UAVs has been proven in many cases and is more commonly planned and standardly integrated in business operations. DDC is currently offering a broad selection of tools to make inspections more efficient. Besides UAVs (drone-rotory and/or fixed wing) DDC uses robots, lidar and camera packed backpack's, mobile scanning or traditional scanning methods to create a complete digital view on assets.
Operating in airspace or on complex industrial plants brings great responsibility to your daily operation. The company is continuously investing in the training of their staff and keeps a rigorous flight safety management system and holds various business operation accreditations. Besides complying to international and local legislation, working with fully certified pilots, DDC has implemented stringent Flight Safety Management systems and invested in various industry recognized accreditations.
